Meryem Uzerli: I Don't Believe in the Existence of a Comfort Zone for an Artist
Meryem Uzerli, in an interview she gave, shared her choices in her acting career and her artistic vision; "I choose the characters, scripts, and projects where I feel the most alive."
She answered questions about herself
"I choose the character and script where I feel the most alive."
When asked why she was drawn to roles that reimagine historical narratives for today's audience, she answered; "As an actress, I choose the characters, scripts, and projects that make me feel the most alive when I read them. It's not always that something exciting is offered, but it doesn't matter whether it's historical or modern, the role that emotionally engages me quickly is always my choice."
I Don't Believe in the Existence of a Comfort Zone for an Artist
Another question she was asked was: "Can you share a moment from your life where stepping out of your creative comfort zone changed your artistic vision?" She answered as follows:
"I don't think there is such a thing as an artistic comfort zone. I believe that an artist never has a comfort zone. That's why I do my own work, and I consider the changes from my personal journey to be real transformation. My vision has always been to touch the hearts of the viewers, and it will always be that way. My greatest goal is for the viewers to feel me through the things I do, and conversely, when I feel they feel me, I feel myself more deeply."
