Death of Güllü; Daughter Arrested, Son Gives Statement
The well-known artist Güllü lost her life after falling from a window. Following the incident, her daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter was arrested, while her son Tuğberk Yağız Gülter appeared before judicial authorities to give his statement.
The incident occurred on 26 September in the Çınarcık district of Yalova. Güllü, aged 52, was spending time with her daughter and a friend on the enclosed terrace of their apartment, located on the fifth floor of a building on Vali Akı Street, when she fell from the window and died at the scene.
After the incident, Yalova Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı launched an official investigation into Güllü’s death. As part of the investigation, her 27-year-old daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter was taken into custody on a serious charge.
The charge brought against her is stated as «premeditated murder of a close relative».
In connection with the case, Sultan Nur Ulu, who was present at the location at the time of the incident, was placed under house arrest.
Meanwhile, Tuğberk Yağız Gülter, Güllü’s son, went to Yalova Adliyesi in his capacity as a complainant, accompanied by his lawyer Aycan Sevsay. He declined to answer questions from journalists.
