Serenay Sarikaya (Serenay Sarıkaya) Released Following Drug Investigation

Serenay Sarikaya (Serenay Sarıkaya), who was detained as part of a drug investigation, has been released after undergoing testing. The actress was taken into custody during a probe targeting those facilitating drug use, providing locations for use, and using narcotics in Istanbul. Following the collection of test samples at the Forensic Medicine Institute (Adli Tıp Kurumu), she was set free.

The investigation, conducted by the Bakirkoy (Bakırköy) Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, continues regarding crimes of "purchasing, accepting, or possessing drugs or stimulants for use," "using drugs or stimulants," and "facilitating the use of drugs or stimulants."

After being detained, Sarikaya provided a statement to the Gendarmerie and underwent a health check before being referred to the Forensic Medicine Institute. She was released once the necessary samples for drug testing were obtained.

Details of the Investigation

A statement from the Bakirkoy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office highlighted the fight against narcotics that threaten public health and safety. The office reported recent operations where a significant amount of cocaine was seized at sea before reaching land. Additionally, drug production sites were identified, leading to the arrest of numerous dealers across different districts of Istanbul.

The statement noted that a separate investigation is being conducted into individuals facilitating drug use and providing venues, as well as users. Based on the evidence, the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command was instructed to detain 25 suspects, conduct searches, perform biological examinations, and take statements.

Operations were carried out across 24 addresses in the Istanbul districts of Besiktas (Beşiktaş), Sariyer (Sarıyer), Beyoglu (Beyoğlu), Kagithane (Kağıthane), and Uskudar (Üsküdar), as well as one address in Mugla (Muğla). During these operations, several public figures were detained, including:
